    How it works

    3 steps, nothing to install.

    1

    Check it for free

Every block, node, folder and message is read and checked. You see what is damaged and how many messages can be saved.

    2

    Repair into a new file

Everything readable is copied into a fresh PST, with the folder tree rebuilt. Damaged parts are left out and named in the report.

    3

    Open it in Outlook

Save the repaired file and open it with File › Open › Outlook Data File. Keep the original as it was.

    Verified, not assumed

    Checked before you save it.

The engine checks its own work. The result is read back from storage and compared with your original, and the report you can download lists every check.

Every message in the new file is read back and compared with the damaged one
Folder tree rebuilt from what survives
Messages that can't be saved are listed, never dropped silently
    The original file is unchanged
    FAQ

    Questions, answered.

    Is this a SCANPST alternative?

Yes. SCANPST (the Inbox Repair Tool) fixes the file in place and often gives up on badly damaged files. This repair never edits your file: it copies everything readable into a new PST and tells you exactly what could not be saved.

What does the health check cost?

Nothing, and it needs no account. It shows every problem and how many messages can be recovered before you decide.

Outlook says the file “cannot be accessed” or “is not an Outlook data file”. Can it help?

Often, yes. Those messages usually mean damaged internal structures. The health check shows whether the messages themselves are still readable.

    Is my file uploaded?

No. The engine runs inside your browser tab and reads the file from your disk. Results are written to your browser's private storage until you save them. Nothing is sent to a server.

    What can't be repaired?

Messages whose data is overwritten or missing cannot be brought back by any tool. Damage to the file's main index (very rare) is not supported yet. Password-protected and old ANSI PST files are not supported.
